We Fought to Keep Our Hospital Open

The Director of Nursing at Crozer Chester Medical Center, shared how the community and staff fought unsuccessfully against the closure of the facility, caused by decisions made by Prospect Medical, a for-profit company. She explained that the hospital served a working-class population with no other healthcare options and denounced how private investment dismantled the system's resources. Despite the staff’s deep commitment to their patients, the hospital was shut down, leaving a severe healthcare crisis in the area.
