English-Mayra
In Pennsylvania, hospital closures have hit many communities hard, especially immigrant families. During a free health service in Delaware County, we met Mayra, a woman who bravely shared what it means to live without access to healthcare.
“It’s quite difficult because sometimes you get sick… there are no places to go. Sometimes people die,” she told us.
For her, these services are a temporary relief, but also a reminder of the huge debt owed to her community. Her message is clear: unity can pave the way toward a more just healthcare system.
“Let’s all come together… a hospital for everyone,” she said with hope.
Mayra’s voice is the voice of many.
A voice demanding care, dignity, and a healthier future for all.
